If you’ve traded NYC for the suburbs, you know what it feels like to miss Central Park, and that’s exactly how this playroom came to life.
We paired timeless triptychs of Sheep Meadow, instantly familiar and grounding, with fun yet functional pieces that bring in a subtle playground energy. Rather than recreating Central Park literally, the room borrows from the feeling of it: open, playful, familiar, and full of memories.
It is a little nod to the life that came before the move, reimagined for the way this family lives now.
The result is a New Jersey family space that feels playful without being chaotic, nostalgic without feeling literal, just like a little piece of the city still lives here.
Part family room, part den, and part playroom, the space was designed to work for everyone. The Central Park connection gives it personality and a sense of place, while the practical pieces keep it comfortable enough for the everyday business of family life.
