Mommy Shark Tank
Creative Home Office Interior Design
Part mermaid grotto, part shark tank.
Our home base atelier, affectionately nicknamed the Mommy Shark Tank thanks to its glass doors, adjacency to the playroom, and the presence of our first “coworker,” Mark the Shark, was designed around a simple belief: the coast always feels inherently calming and luxe, and that feeling should live here year-round.
What began as a bold design decision evolved into a fully immersive, “dive-right-in” moment. Walls, ceiling, and architectural details are drenched in color to create a surreal, underwater-inspired environment, part mermaid grotto, part shark tank.
This is a workspace built around imagination rather than convention, where the boundaries between home, work, and family life are quite literally visible through the glass.
A commitment to favorite colors, design bravery, and personal storytelling guided the second phase of this New Jersey home office, resulting in a space that feels both transportive and deeply personal.
More than a place to work, the Mommy Shark Tank is a reflection of how we approach interior design: trust the idea, embrace what makes a space personal, and do not be afraid to dive all the way in. It is a room that inspires creativity every single day.
