Among my first clients, Janos Spitzer Flooring had a site design in place but were experiencing long page loads.  Because of this, I was recommended.

Some pages of the site took up to 20 minutes to appear on screen - even with a cable modem (2005).  I re-coded the 145 megabyte site to under 1 megabyte.  All images were optimized for the web and the site was coded by hand in xHTML.  In line with the existing site design, a contact form was added.

To combat the unfortunate receipt of spam form submissions, a text captcha question was developed into the form submission.  This asks a very simple logic question that is easy for a sentient being but difficult for a computer program to answer.  The SPAM issue ceased completely.

This site has now been completely redesigned and relaunched.
